Author and speaker Shaunti Feldhahn set out to research the statistics about marriage. Like most of us, she had heard that 50% of marriages end in divorce, and Christian marriages share this same divorce rate. What Shaunti learned is that there is little to no data to support such statements. She set out to gather her own statistical data. What has been uncovered is this:
The actual divorce rate has never gotten close to 50 percent.
Those who attend church regularly have a significantly lower divorce rate than those who don’t.
Simple changes make a big difference in most marriage problems.
Maybe now we can go into marriage without the negative stigma that has been attached to it. Maybe we can all have more positive attitudes about marriage in general.
