Anger And Relationships

By Sharon Thompson, Jun 16 2016 09:45PM

Harboring anger toward your spouse can lead you to feel superiority over them. Over time, bitterness makes us prisoners of cynicism. If we get angry easily, most likely people are not "making us angry." We are angry, and others can easily bring it out in us. This is especially harmful in our closest relationships - our marriages and our family members.

If you are in a relationship where anger easily surfaces or is explosive, please get help dealing with differences and conflict in a healthy, productive way. Conflict will happen in marriages and families. This is true because we are relating to people who are very different from us. This can and is likely the case even if we grew up in the same family or if we at one time thought we had so much in common with our spouse.
