Individual Counseling with Adults or Adolescents – Including depression, anxiety, stress, past or present traumatic events, fear, self-doubt, grief, assertiveness skills, fear, anger, social isolation, and panic attacks. Self-Exploration - Delving into one's own thoughts and feelings with the guidance of a professional counselor can relieve symptoms, increase self-awareness, improve intimacy in one's life and mend old wounds.
Couples/Marriage Counseling - Both pre-marital and marital, dealing with communication and conflict resolution skills, sexual concerns, infidelity or other marital crisis.
Family Counseling - Including adjusting to life changes, parent-child conflicts, sibling conflicts, school difficulties, improved communication and conflict-resolution skills, step-family issues, development changes and traumatic events.
Grief & Bereavement Counseling - All of us have had the experience of losing someone important to us. How we handle it can often make the difference between a satisfactory and unsatisfactory bereavement. I can provide grief and bereavement counseling to help people talk about their loss, make changes in their lives, and decisions about the future.
EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a therapy for PTSD and intense trauma. Different from "talk therapy," this therapy allows the brain to "digest" and appropriately store problem experiences and leaves you with emotions and understanding that will lead to healthy behaviors.

Life Transitions - Periods of transition in one's life can be exciting and challenging but also highly stressful. Examples of life transitions are:
Separation and Divorce
Starting a Family
Adjustment to Empty Nest
Caring for Ailing Parents - (sometimes while simultaneously raising one's own children)
While many of these transitions are "normal" parts of life, they can produce intense feelings that can be difficult to manage. Sometimes seeking the help of a trained professional for a short period of time while one goes through a major life transition can be enormously helpful.
Seminars - I am available to present seminars or lead discussions on a wide array of topics that promote emotionally healthy individuals and relationships. Most seminars can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
