Welcome

Welcome to my website. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in the treatment of individuals, couples, and families experiencing relationship struggles. I am also see individuals who seek help for many behavioral and emotional issues. My practice is located at Integrative Psychotherapy at the Crossing.  I am still proudly associated with Marriage and Family Consultation, Inc.

I believe that most symptoms of emotional distress can be effectively alleviated with mental health counseling. These symptoms include depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, low self-esteem, eating disorders, sleep disturbances, behavioral concerns, post-traumatic stress and spiritual concerns. I also believe that people can change, grow and learn to lead more satisfying, meaningful lives through counseling. In short, therapy can help empower people, strengthen relationships and help people have a more satisfactory life.

How does counseling work? I believe that candid dialogue between a client and an experienced, professional therapist in a non-judgmental environment can be powerful and healing. We will utilize dialogue to gain a clearer understanding of who you are and how you perceive yourself in the world. The goal is to overcome obstacles and realize your goals and potentials.

Why Seek a Marriage & Family Therapist?

Seeking a Marriage and Family Therapist to assist with life's difficulties is a sign of courage and a step towards help, healing and growth. Marriage and Family Therapists are educated and trained to counsel more than one person in the room at the same time. Marriage and Family Therapists are educated in all areas of mental health such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, etc., but many choose to specialize in areas one feels more passionate about and also have taken extended classes in certain treatments. Competent therapists do not offer or take sides. They help clients work out solutions according to individual goals and values. Always ask the therapist any questions you may have concerning her/him or your situation to help ensure it is a right fit for you.

How Can I Help You?

My goal is to help my clients use their strenghts and abilities to find solutions to problems, enhance their relationships, build confidence, and build a healthy sense of self.  We identify what your challenges are, when they developed, and when they are the most troublesome to you. Through conversation you and I gain insight into your particular needs to help identify, cope with and understand your problem.  With insight we go into the root of the problem and how we can heal past and present issues to help you resolve the reason you sought therapy. Every client is unique and the length of therapy is individual depending on your situation and how motivated you are.

My hours are flexible to help you with your schedule.
